I am an avid naturalist living in Prince Edward Island, Canada, where I work as a biologist with the Island Nature Trust. I spend the bulk of the snow-free months monitoring shorebirds along our coasts. When I am not tracking sand indoors at the end of the day, I love to be outside in the woods (especially if there is a stream nearby).

Some particular interests besides birds include the vascular plants of the Maritimes, lichens, fungi, and insects.
