Currently a PhD student in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology department at UC Irvine, studying native solitary bees in wetlands: their microbiomes and their conservation. Budding pollinator ecologist, also into general entomology, botany, birding, and museum collections.

B.S Biology (Eco Evo Behavior) graduate from UT Austin, Past research: gut microbiome of paper wasps (Polistes exclamans), Texas Pompilids (ID and imaging specimens), desert bee diversity and floral interactions (at Sevilleta NWR (Chihuahuan)), Joshua Tree National Park (annual plant community dynamics), ant parasitism and diversity (at the wonderful Brackenridge Field Laboratory in Austin, and in SE AZ (Sonoran)), tropical arboreal ant communities (Costa Rica and Madagascar).

Past sci comm: graphic illustrator for Trapjaw Communications LLC, outreach communicator for the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center.
