I'm the Curator of Living Collections of Holden Forests and Gardens, which comprises of the 3000+ acre Holden Arboretum and the Cleveland Botanical Garden in the University Circle neighborhood.

I've been working in various capacities as an environmental scientist in Ohio for two decades, with a special interest in vascular plants, odonata and birds.

I also have a particular interest in tortoises in the genus Kinixys, establishing private captive assurance colonies of Kinixys nogueyi and Kinixys homeana.
