I am a professional malacologist, now retired. I worked for 33+ years at the Natal Museum (now KwaZulu-Natal Museum) in Pietermaritzburg, studying the diversity, systematics and biogeography of the molluscan fauna of southern Africa and the south-western Indian Ocean. I continue this work in my retirement, though I am now based in the UK.
