I've been photographing butterflies, native plants (mostly) and fungi for several years without any particular aim other than enjoying beautiful Sonoma County.

I had been referred to iNat many times over the years but was resistant to spending more hours in front of a computer than I already do. I have really discovered the limitations of my books and have been enjoying seeing, identifying and sharing information, plants and photos.

I discovered mushrooms in the "off" season from butterflies. Nothing like standing in a soaking wet field in January until your cell phone is too damp and cold to take any more photos!
