I work for Wolfram|Alpha by day and in my spare time I like to spend time away from the computer at local parks looking for birds and wildlife. Astronomy is my background so this will occasionally make its way into my photos. I'm not likely to travel the world looking for exotic species, I'm more interested in capturing the wildlife around you if you just look for it. Most photos are from the East-Central Illinois area, near Champaign-Urbana. I started digital photography with a macro lens looking at insects and flowers and expanded my coverage to birds with telephoto lenses later.
