I grew up in the suburbs of Brampton where I spent most of my free time exploring the local creeks and greenspaces (shout-out to Norton Park). I have always been a bit of a generalist Naturalist. I started with frogs, sallies and snakes in elementary school at the family cottage and graduated to birds in grade 4 with my first trip to Pelee and Rondeau, and from there branched into plants. Lately I have been dabbling in insects just a bit which has been humbling to say the least.

I spent three summers in Algonquin as a Naturalist and I am now a professional biologist in the GTA where I conduct flora and fauna inventories and long-term monitoring projects.

Every day I am awestruck by the complex relationships in the natural world playing out around me and I try my best to listen to the lessons that the plants and critters are attempting to teach through their presence and behaviours.
