I'm a 1985 graduate of the Duke University School of Law whose law practice focuses primarily on civil appeals in class actions and other complex litigation. I also do amicus briefs for religious organizations supporting equal rights for LGBTQ people, opposing discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or personal religious belief, and supporting labor. In May of 2022 I graduatred from the Harvard Divinity School with a Master of Religion and Public Life, and am currently enrolled in the Harvard Extension School working toward a Master of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Extension Studies in the field of History. I'm also a Certified Chaparral Naturalist (California Chaparral Institute, 2019), and Certified California Naturalist (U.Cal. Div. Agriculture & Natural Resources, 2020). The California Naturalist course introduced me to iNaturalist.
