I am an undergraduate student at Oregon State University majoring in Botany with a chemistry minor and focusing primarily on natural products and secondary metabolites. My focus of interest is within phytochemistry, medicinal plants, and secondary metabolites, specifically in regards to toxic plants such as the solanaceae family. I hope to further my research into pharmacognosy by entering a PhD program after graduation.
I love plants and find that it is important to notice the relationships between them and their environment because they shape our world and existence. As such, identification of these entities in their natural habitat is vital to understanding how they act and acquire the traits that they do.
