I've been taking photos of flowers, birds, insects, frogs and as many other creatures as will hold still long enough for me to get a shot for years. Several of my friends encouraged me to post these on iNaturalist. I never saw the need before. Now, I'm beginning to think it's urgent to document what is, what was and what will be.

I'm a retired program coordinator from a medical school in New Orleans. My husband and I are building a home in NC on a small piece of property that we want to make wildlife habitat as much as possible, and I'm active in the North Carolina Native Plant Society.
