I'm a PhD student at the University of British Columbia. I focus on insect and plant ecology, mostly in urban areas. Currently I'm working on wrapping up surveys of flies and wild bees in city of Vancouver parks aiming to better understand the impacts of urban habitat management practices on urban insect biodiversity. I also work on projects that aim to account for sampling biases in order to utilize natural history collections (including iNat observations) to test global change ecology hypotheses.
