I'm a PhD candidate in Botany and Plant Pathology at Oregon State University. My dissertation research is focused on population genomics of Cedrela odorata (Spanish Cedar) a target of illegal logging. In the past, I did some field work in Oregon examining spatial variation in wood chemistry of Douglas-fir. Most of my observations are as a GTA for OSU Plant Ecology. I love hiking and exploring forests--especially riparian habitats.
