I graduated from UC Davis with a B.S. in Plant Biology and minors in Professional Writing / Ecology, Evolution, & Biodiversity. I've conducted all sorts of plant-based research from tomato genetics to wildflower seed dispersal surveys. This fall I'll be a first-year PhD student at UCLA studying seed dispersal and community assembly in grasslands. I'm interested in developing restoration strategies using this research to create resilient habitats for the future.

I'm a certified California Naturalist through the University of California's Agriculture and Natural Resources division. On the weekends you can find me contributing data to community science programs including iNaturalist, CalFlora, eBird, and other projects via SciStarter. I also volunteer as a docent at Jepson Prairie Preserve in Dixon, CA.
