Fan of plants of the Transverse Ranges and southern California generally; UC Irvine professor of something else; and resident of Los Angeles. Since about 2015, I've been studying especially the Angeles Crest, its desert-facing slopes, and increasingly the Antelope Valley below. As a consequence, I'm especially interested in Eriogonum and Ericameria, as well as San Gabriel Mountains endemics.
