I am a Canadian biologist based in Vancouver with broad interests in natural history and conservation. Follow me on Twitter @RileyPollom. Currently, I work with the IUCN SSC Shark Specialist Group as Red List Officer on the Global Shark Trends Project. I am Red List Authority Coordinator for the IUCN SSC Seahorse, Pipefish and Seadragon Specialist Group. Here in Vancouver, I work with Wildlife Conservation Society Canada as the Regional Key Biodiversity Areas Coordinator for British Columbia where we are working with partners to designate sites that contribute significantly to the global persistence of biodiversity. Last but not least, I am a Resource Management Officer with Parks Canada at Gulf Islands National Park Reserve, where I work on marine ecology and, particularly, conservation of Southern Resident Killer Whales.
