I should have studied Naturalist, but that career was not available, so I decided to specialize in geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing to study and understand nature. I have done research on the mapping of islands, coral reefs and mangroves. I am currently working on mapping the Venezuelan Amazon and its threats
