I've been identifying plants since I was 6. My grandma taught me the basics in her garden and more than a decade later, I'm still at it!

For my senior project, I'm turning Camas WA's Skyview Trail into a nature hike, complete with tags marking 25 plant species and a website with information for foragers, nature-lovers, and beginners alike. I'm collaborating with Dorothy Fox Elementary School to provide students opportunities an age-appropriate natural education including a junior hiker's scavenger hunt worksheet, matching games, and an online identification quiz, which will be available through my website! Outside of plant identification, I enjoy gardening, sharing seeds and fresh fruits & veggies with my neighbors, reading Shakespeare, cross-stitching, and playing with my dog, Blaze. I'll be attending Lewis & Clark College this fall with a major in education.
