I am a lifelong naturalist with generalist tendencies because I'm curious about all-things nature. I brake for bird's nest fungi, slime molds and snails. I am an active birder without a good telephoto lens (so I post audio recordings), intertidal and dock-fouling aficionado. I am on a steep learning curve with fungi and lichens. I am a long-time volunteer with Vashon Nature Center on Vashon Island in Washington.
