Trees leafing out at the bottom, with spring ephemerals winding down... midway up the spring ephemerals were in full swing. At the top, the moss layers are really greening up under the conifers.

A Vermonter told us recently they are out between Mother's Day and Father's Day. Well, I saw one yesterday, but it's pretty close to right on this year.

Four leaved trillium! Becca says it is a "quadrillium". Has anyone seen this before ??
