The Arboretum at Penn State will be hosting a BioBlitz in April 2018. The BioBlitz will take place throughout Hartley Wood, located west of the H.O. Smith Botanic Gardens across football parking lot 11.
The purpose of this BioBlitz is to help expose the Arboretum and engage the public with all forms of life around University Park. Participants will help to observe as many species as possible within the time period.
Attendees will be asked to download and familiarize themselves with the free iNaturalist app prior to the date specified. Attendees will be asked to join our project titled "Bioblitz The Arboretum at Penn State". iNatualist will serve as a collection tool and a way to organize all the data. Participants will create observations of any and all life within Hartley Wood simply by taking a photo or two with their smart phones.
