Sassy Clues: Challenge Day #1

Countdown: THIS IS IT, Bonner County! TODAY is first of the 4 days of the CNCBC! It’s not too late to download the app, create an account , start iNatting, and looking for Sassy!

Out of the gate, all 3 challenges are on the board (as of 6:00 AM) - Observations, Species, Identifiers, Observers:

No one has found Sassy yet.

In case you missed them, here are clues to where you can find Sassy TODAY, Friday, April 30 until 6:30P:

  • What is 50 times 4?
  • Where would you go to get your broken wing rehabbed if you are a raptor?
  • The location is located less than one mile from the river with nearby town of same name.

Are those not enough? Head over to the Facebook Page to see a couple photos that will give you solid clues as to where she is hiding today.

And here are clues to where you can find Sassy TOMORROW, for Saturday, May 1 until 6:30P:

  • Location is in a state park
  • Creeks running into and out of a lake at the site have the same name
  • Be sure not to park on busy highway named after twin brothers Adolph and Dilphus

After 6:30 PM, she’ll be moved to the next location.

To qualify to win today’s CNCBC 2021 Trophy, send an email with CNCBC 2021 in the Subject line to cncbonnercounty@gmail.com as soon as you’ve made the observations (Sassy and 20 unique species). Include your name, your iNaturalist user name, and contact information in the body of the email. You can only win one of these smaller trophies, but you could also win the CNCBC Champ 2021 Trophy, which is given to the person with the most observations over the 4 days of the competition.

Good Luck, and happy iNatting!
