Join the Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy and National Park Service for a grassroots bioblitz at Rancho Corral de Tierra. Rancho, which covers nearly 4,000 acres and is the newest aquired parkland in the Golden Gate National Parks, has much to be discovered.
What better way to get involved then to come out for a 3-hour bioblitz on Saturday, August 29th, starting at 9:30 am. Following the bioblitz, we will have a short wrap session with food and good cheer.
Bring your smartphones, tablets, or cameras with GPS, loaded with the iNaturalist app, to document the wide array of flora and fauna. We invite people of all ages to join, so please spread the word to your family and friends.
Collaborating with local scientists, we hope to make this raw data valuable science!
Schedule:
Please meet at the Farallone View Elementary School at 9:30am.
BioBlitz will run from 9:30am-12:30pm.
Wrap session will be back at the school from 12:30 pm-2:30 pm to upload data (hearty snacks provided).
