Park Trail in progress
The Mansfield Parks Dept has been working since last fall to prep the site for the linear trail that will connect Matlock Rd to Joe Pool Lake (Read more about Phase 2 here: https://www.mansfieldtexas.gov/facility/walnut-creek-linear-park-and-trails) They have cleared vegetation and leveled the area for the trail. Won't be long now!

Yeah, they've already begun work at Oliver Nature Park, destroying some really unique plants and cutting down trees. UGH! This is a result of the ongoing lawsuit by an adjacent homeowner's association on the south side of the park. The original plan didn't include running the trail through Oliver, but continued court delays has necessitated a change of plans. It's such a shame.
