Hello participants in the Lincoln National Forest Spring 2021 BioBlitz.

We are sad to say that tomorrow will be the last day to post observations for the Lincoln National Forest Spring 2021 BioBlitz!

This being said, I hope you all keep up the amazing work that has been done so far!

Encourage friends and family to come out with you and discover the life that the Lincoln National Forest supports.

If you're looking for new places to explore and discover species on the Lincoln National Forest, visit the recreation page on our website (link below).

There you will find a list of all recreation sites on the forest and if they are open or not. Keep in mind most campground are still closed for the off season.

On the right hand column of the page you will find additional campground information , a list of lookout points, popular area maps, an interactive forest map, and a list of all trails on the forest by district.

Remember to respect your public lands and practice Leave no Trace and Responsible Recreation.

Thanks to all participants in the first five days of the Lincoln National Forest Spring 2021 BioBlitz. You all have already gathered over 100 Observations of 35 different species from a diverse set taxonomic groups. Excellent Job!

Keep up the good work this weekend and take advantage of the warm weather!

A BioBlitz creates a unique opportunity to get outside, enjoy, and learn about your local area. Oftentimes in life we forget to stop and smell the flowers, or in our case, photograph and identify them!
