Traffic: 8 trucks, 22 cars, 10 bikes, 5 pedestrians, and 11 cars parked by the road and in the parking lots.
The rowing club was open. All county park parking lots were open.

October, 7th, 2020 (Wednesday) 9:00-10:45 am: no newts today!
It was cold, a bit foggy, AQI around 100

Coverage: north part - the county park parking lot till the second stop sign.
Traffic: 12 trucks, 17 cars, 2 bikes, 14 pedestrians, and 25 cars parked by the road and in the parking lots.
County Roads is repaving some sections of the road. This morning they were right by the quarry. They had many pickups, and all sorts of trucks working on the road, with stop signs and all. Other than that, it was very quiet.
The rowing club was open. All county park parking lots were open.

October, 14th, 2020 (Wednesday) 9:00-10:45 am: no newts today!
It was warm, a bit windy on the way back. The air didn't feel great, even though, AQI was supposed to be lower than 100

Coverage: north part - the county park parking lot till the second stop sign.
Traffic: 17 trucks, 13 cars, 2 bikes, 26 pedestrians, and 20 cars parked by the road and in the parking lots.
Looks like county roads is repaving the whole road. Today they were working on a section of the road before the boat club. They had many trucks, pickups, and other large vehicles along the road (most of them with their engine on).
Today I saw the HT Harvey team for the first time. They were talking in the first parking lot when I parked, and on my way back I saw them digging their pitfall traps on their first field site. I spoke with Jeff Wilkinson to try and coordinate our effort.

October 21st, 2020 (Wednesday) 9:00-10:30 am: no newts today!
Weather was nice. AQI was ok.
Other roadkills - a tiger moth caterpillar.
Coverage: north part - the county park parking lot till the second stop sign.
Traffic: 7 trucks, 17 cars, 1 motorcycle, 5 bikes, 27 pedestrians, and 45 cars parked by the road and in the parking lots.
County roads was repaving the road just north of the 2nd county park lot. Again, there were many trucks, pickups, and other large vehicles along the road (many of them with their engine on, again).
I did see the HT Harvey team today, but I saw at least 4 of the newly dug fences.
The rowing club was open. All county park parking lots were open.
There were very few hikers and fishermen on the road, but the 1st parking lot was busy as usual.

October 28th, 2020 (Wednesday) 9:00-10:30 am: no newts today!
Weather was cold. AQI was ok.
No roadkills.
Coverage: north part - the county park parking lot till the second stop sign.
Traffic: 13 trucks, 15 cars, 6 bikes, 12 pedestrians, and 31 cars parked by the road and in the parking lots.Most of the trucks today were County Roads trucks, driving past the quarry on their way to the road work site.
County roads are still repaving the road just south of the stop sign. Again, there were many trucks, pickups, and other large vehicles along the road.
The population study team wasn't there, but they added pitfall traps near the fences. The traps were closed.
