Our 2015 BioBlitz will be held on Pourewa - land which was recently returned to the control of Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei - as well as the adjacent Kepa Bush.

The Pourewa Block was leased for many years and is currently mostly in paddocks. The adjacent Kepa Bush block consists of modified native bush and there is a transitional piece of vegetation between the two types of land.

The objective for the 2015 BioBlitz was identified in consultation with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei and it is to provide the Iwi with biodiversity baseline information to help inform their restoration plan for Pourewa. menos ↑
