Unfortunately I don't have a copy of the paper and haven't read it. Their rationale (I believe, without having read the most recent paper), however, is provided in Liede-Schumann, S., Kong, H., Meve, U. and Thiv, M. (2012), Vincetoxicum and Tylophora (Apocynaceae: Asclepiadoideae: Asclepiadeae)—two sides of the same medal: Independent shifts from tropical to temperate habitats. @gcflora I just had a look through the 2012 paper and had a chat with a mate about it all, seems like the change is warranted.

Do you have access to Liede-Schumann, S. & Meve, U. (2018), Vincetoxicum (Apocynaceae—Asclepiadoideae) expanded to include Tylophora and allies. Phytotaxa 369(3)? I can’t seem to acess this paper. What evidence do they use to justify this name change?
