Ever since my childhood spent wandering the woods in Addison County Vermont, I have loved exploring nature and learning as much as I can about the intricate web of life that surrounds me. This fascination has led me to pursue many different paths in the environmental field. In my professional life, I have worked as a research assistant studying everything from freshwater fish to bats to forests, led naturalist summer camps for children, volunteered with local land trusts, and studied environmental law and policy. Throughout it all, I believe that engaging people in science and nature exploration is one of our most powerful tools for creating a more sustainable world.

Although I am interested in all aspects of the natural world, I am especially interested in plants of all kinds, bats, spiders, fish, pollinators of all sorts, and in the past year have gotten hooked on birds and birding. I am always open to constructive feedback and corrections.
