I am currently completing my MSc in biology at the University of Lethbridge, exploring ecological aspects of parasite co-infection. I'm a really big fan of freshwater systems, especially their fish and invertebrates, and I love being in or alongside a stream/river.

Living in southern Alberta provides a rich education in biodiversity with the pristine, rugged wilderness of the Crown of the Continent to the west and endangered grasslands to the east. As a prairie transplant from the east coast, it's really incredible to be able to experience montane, sub-alpine, and alpine zones all in the same hike. The bulk of my observations here will likely be plants I see on hikes.
