This first image shows a single female resting after a large group of males dispersed that had been attempting to mate with her. She was left undisturbed only for a few seconds before more males found her and attempted to mate with her (second and subsequent images).

Incredible encounter. Foraging around a fairly exposed tidepool in the lower-mid intertidal. Not sure on how to ID between giant pacific and east pacific, but it was pretty small. Looking at now, I think it may be a giant, but not sure. Fantastic encounter, one of my coolest ever wildlife experiences
