This here was Link, the Lincoln's Sparrow. I found him this day after a pretty brutal storm the day before. I probably found close to 100 dead birds while I was biking around. However, when I found Link, he was still moving thrashing about. At first, I left him, because I didn't think he had a chance, but as time went on with it, I kept watching him, and decided I couldn't leave him. First an foremost, I picked him up and covered his head. I remembered that hawks got calm when you restricted eyesight, so I assumed the same thing would work for him. Thankfully, after a bit more thrashing, it did. From there, I started to walk him over to the nearby treeline by the lake. I hoped that he might be able to survive. As we kept going along, I more and more noticed that he was starting to get more aware of his surroundings. By this point, I had made my way into the woods a little bit, and I decided to open my hands, and Link darted away into the bushes. The photo on top here is on Link right before he left. I hope he did ok.

So, funny story with this dude. So, I was actually walking back from my ecology class when I suddenly got a call from my friend. Now, this dude never calls, and usually just texts, so I'm obviously a bit worried. So, I pick up, and apparently, there had been a window collision right outside the chem building. The bird had then been repeatedly running back into the window in its confusion, so my friend picked it up and covered its head. So, then he thought to call me, because he knew that I know about the nature stuffs. So, I start speedwalking over, and I'm asking him where he is, and for some reason, this dude decided to go into the library, down this long library, and INTO A BASEMENT WITH THE BIRD. Obviously, I was a bit stressed by this, because a rouge bird in a building would not be the best. So, I take the bird from him, and then proceed to walk right back out before releasing it. Honestly, it was a really, really stupid moment, but God is it funny now.
