Trying to get better at keying out plants, so I thought I would get some more eyes on this. Using Weakley's key, this is coming out to Ruellia purshiana. For the experts here, does this look correct?

Habitat: A small population growing at the forest edges by a dirt road. Near a flood plain. May 23, 2018.

Calyx/calyx lobes: Linear to filamentous, width of 1mm, covered in hairs.

Most specimens have simple stems. Some have one branch. Flowers are born from lower and median nodes (on peduncles).

ID tentative.

My partner found an intact puparium (pictured within this post) when he was shoveling some soil in our yard. I decided to put it in a jar in order to determine a species. Around 24 hours later, I went to check the jar and noticed that it had been "unsealed". A little "cap" was hanging loose. It took me a couple of minutes, but I finally found the former tenant hiding within a leaf that I had placed in the jar. I'm assuming this is a male T. dubitata as it is our most common Mutillid in this area of our land (I haven't seen any other species minus Dasymutilla quadriguttata and Dasymutilla occidentalis, but those aren't a visual match for this). See observation below:
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/15841492

Please do feel free to correct me on this!

This fantastically stretchy fungus was discovered under the bark of what I'm assuming was a fallen/rotting loblolly pine (Virginia pine was nearby as well). In a moist mixed forest valley (near underground springs). There was infection throughout the interior wood as well. It felt like a mix between stretchy bubblegum and slightly sticky spider webs!
