3-5 mm long, under a rock in serpentine chaparral. There were also ants under the rock that I idiotically didn't photograph. They were more like 8mm long and glossy (not argentines, not Prenelops, didn't really look like Camponotus, but I'm terrible with ants). Note to self: in the future. photograph any ants you see with pseudoscorpions.
All handheld shots with the Laowa 5x.

Nectaring at Ericameria nauseosa blossoms. Only seen once at Deer Flat between 2006 and 2019. When this specimen was collected there was a large "hatch" of Pine Whites in the area (not sure exactly where they were coming from), but individuals were being observed in urban areas in Boise, Nampa and Caldwell where they had not been reported before or since. Voucher specimen placed in Orma J. Smith Museum of Natural History (as part of the Deer Flat NWR Insect Biodiversity Survey) at The College of Idaho, Caldwell, ID.

EDIT: Thank you to Ken Schneider (@kschnei) for examining and confirming my Z. rubidum! I've added Ken's photomicrographs. This little spider is now a part of the Cal. Academy of Sciences' collection, CASENT 9096659.

Descripción
Polyporivora polypori was described by Frankie Willard (1914 :167) from material which J. M. Aldrich had reared from the shelf fungus Polyporus versiccolor· while he was at Stanford University (Palo Alto), California, in 1906. Professor Aldrich seems to have been assisted in his rearing operations by S. Nohara and I (sa bel ) McCracken, as one of the specimens from Palo Alto and bearing the date of April 9, 1906, is doubtless from the type series. Found on a screen door by one of my children in late afternoon. They kept it in a terrarium overnight, and the vegetation seen in some of the photos was found in the general vicinity of the beetle, but there is no particular reason to believe that it is in any representative of host plants.
