Rushed an observation to get an ID so here’s a better one. I was STUNNED to see this moth, it’s so beautiful! I had heard of it before but didn’t know it could be in my area. A good omen for sure.

Realized I never actually knew which species of bird this was. There appeared to be a pair of them with one flying off while making its high pitched cry and this one hesitantly staying a feigning injury to draw attention (away from eggs or babies?).
