this apparent albino canid was in residence in remote portions of Fort Sill. It was generally wary but on this occasion during an excessive heat wave when we surprised it rounding a bend on the road. It was clearly stressed and headed away from us at a leisurely pace. At turns it would appear as a domestic dog but in other profiles took on the appearance of a Coyote lending speculation it was a mix. Regardless, it was always a striking encounter.

We were hanging around camp when this ratsnake fell from a tree with a flying squirrel. I'm sure the squirrel was alive when they first hit the ground but it wasn't moving. The snake didn't seem to mind that we were watching and it proceeded to eat the squirrel. After the snake finished it made its way back to the tree it fell from and climbed up inside the hollow trunk. Definitely an observation where we were in the right place at the right time. Unfortunately for the squirrel this encounter didn't work out.

All the crocodiles were hunted in the nearby bay. The specimen in the second photo is intended for export to China (its skin will be sold for approximately 300,000 rupiahs...), the skull in the third photo came from a four-meter specimen
