In emergent seep/groundwater wetland. I did not expect to find this species here, given regional distribution. Many individuals were present.
I found this individual along the trail that leads to the small creek where people get their water for Rancho Plastico. About 50m before reaching the creek. The first 5 photos are when I first spotted it (ie. not posed); the subsequent macro photos were taken carefully and gently to confirm ID (based on Calvert 1924).
This record extends the range of P. augusti about 200km to the south-east. Nobably within 30km of the Columbian border where this species has not yet been recorded.

Found a couple of them running along a forested dirt road on a ridge. They never fly but just run along the road.
