Saw three mountain lions in total near this spot. This one passed very close to my car while I was stopped. It was maybe 8' overall and about 28" at the shoulder. It proceeded up the road, was joined by a smaller companion (you can see both in one of these images), they both slipped away into the forest. A couple of miles east along the same road we saw another, much larger and more muscular looking, but it disappeared into the shadows before I could get a photo.
