Observation and photographs are by my partner, who does not have an iNaturalist account. Permission to submit these were provided by him. This moth (if the base ID is correct) seemed like a rare find; it hasn't been reported in Arkansas on MPG or iNat so far.

Black and dark brown cricket-like insect. No wings, small back legs, and long antennae. Two small spikes on back of abdomen. Interesting lighter patterning on head around eyes. Between 1 and 2 inches long. Encountered at around 1 AM.

A green chiton attached to a half crab. We observed this alien looking commensal beast while undertaking an intertidal survey on the reefs off Hawera. It made us jump when we first turned over the rock.

Climaciella brunnea. Cruickshank Trail, Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Titusville, Brevard County, Florida, USA.

The most exciting encounter of my Florida trip. And there were hundreds of them sitting in the grass on the dike. I initially mistook them for paper wasps, but something was strange about them, even from a distance.

This moth was very small. It was photographed during mid-day (13:31PM)

The bright yellow eyes were distinctive.
However, close examination of the very dark body revealed a bluish metallic sheen.
I did not collect this individual.

Located in a field at 31.46944343104881, -84.37597070372861 bordered by a swamp and planted pines.
Predominant plant in this field was Raphanus raphanistrum, but there were also numerous other plants/flowers in bloom in the field/immediate area including Amsonia, Spigelia, Trifolium, Verbena, Glandularia and others.

This is a picture of a Squirrel treefrog calling at the actual first location documented from Arkansas. A small chorus of approximately a dozen males were heard calling the night of May 21, 2013. It was a dark and stormy night with heavy downpours and even a tornado warning in the Union county area. These conditions were ideal for a historical discovery.
