We’re seen an Eagle in a nest above a creek for 1 month. Hwy 142 between Lockhart and Maxwell
The nest is in a cypress above a creek.
We’ve seen a total of 4 Eagles
Possibly another nest back in the forest area behind this nest.

I had been walking down the creek, looking for birds, but I was unlucky. I had decided to go to the city south side which is the best area to find birds. And I was on a rural field, and I found this bald eagle in the air. It was on the east shores of Lake Kilroy.

Running an errand into San Antonio via the back roads. Stop at roadside with extra shoulder overlooking a creek. There was heavy overcast and car temperate read 45F outside.
I could see the shadow of a big bird coming in the horizon. Earlier 2 caracaras had passed by as I step out my car. My thoughts it was another caracara coming my way. So I braced myself and made like a tripod. The shadow did get any better thru the camera view finder. As I click away, strangely in the back of my mind this bird did not fly like a caracara but rather it soar thru the cold air with great dominance and with little effort.
