State watch -list of species. S2S3 in Massachusetts. Field photos did not turn out well, however they illustrate the wetness of this site along a powerline right-of-way. This is a rare FACW wetland flax species, most native flax species typically being on dry to xeric sites though sometimes seasonally wet. The sixth photo illustrates the ridges along the stem of the species which provides the common name.
