I should know this one...
On the North-facing side of a recently (~1yr) fallen log, looks like a Populus.
Locally this species is known by the common name: Common Pink Wintergreen.
Very fast.
While the pics may not narrow this down to species sufficiently, with a handle lens I have confirmed the key characteristics of the species including its blunt leaf apices, Costa ending below the apex, growth form, microhabitat (epiphyte on older poplar trees) etc.
