It was the flash of red that really caught my eye, what a pretty little bird!

With three Snow Geese. Los Banos Christmas Bird Count. Some areas closed to the public, accessed with permission.
It jumped up off a dead skunk on the road it was sharing with a Raven. Knew the profile from trips to Texas. Definitely my first Arizona sighting. Dare I say it might be more beautiful than...the Bald Eagle? I love that this is w/in a lone dot on the bird's Western extension. Please Come to California!
