It wasn't until I walked along the banks that I flushed this dipper out into the open for minute.
I was hoping to capture more photos, and possibly a BIF picture, but this beauty only tolerated me for so long before disappearing. I'm so grateful to see this species still hanging around this zone.
I'm glad to see a Kingfisher calling this location home. I thought when I saw one a couple of years ago along this same stretch of river that it may have been a fluke. Hopefully there'll be one consistently here for many years.
And, I'm rusty with my bird-in-flight photos :(
Flitting all about the willows.
A ton of them near the Ace Hardware store. The manager happened to be outside while I was snapping photos, and he told me that they had tossed a bunch of bird seed out there recently.
I included the gender for the first image (male is the second photo).
