Feather fingergrass in cowpas.
During the summer of 2018, native and introduced annual and biennial plant species were much more abundant than in previous years. Stiffstem flax was one such native annual (sometimes perennial) species that occurred in this area of good condition Wyoming big sagebrush steppe between Winnett and Jordan near the junction of highway 200 and the Cat Creek road. This flax species is distinguished by its flowers with yellow petals that measure 7-16 mm long.
