These snails were a dark brown color, with a slight reddish ruffle on their foot. Their skin appeared to have a rougher texture, although it was still soft and squishy. They left a slime trail when they moved. Their shell was a mix of dark brown and reddish brown, with a spiral shape. The spiral leaned towards one side of their bodies. They were found near the base of trees on moss. The day was overcast and it had rained recently so there was lots of moisture.
The slugs were a yellowish beige color with black patches on their bodies. Their bodies were wet looking, because they were secreting a viscous mucus. The bodies were very smooth, with a slight line that separated their heads from their bodies. Several specimens were observed in the same area. Most of them were on the bark of trees, low to the ground. Some others were on the ground near leafy plants. Slime trails were visible on the tree bark. The slugs ranged in sizes, from about 4 inches, to about 7 inches. Some slugs were stretched out, making them appear longer than others. The day was overcast with lots of moisture on the surrounding plants.
