Uncommon. Single young tree growing with tanekaha (Phyllocladus trichomanoides) in over-mature semi-senescent rawiri (Kunzea linearis) forest
Trackside on the Water Raceway section of the West Coast Wilderness Trail.
Fruit, broken bits of branches, and a kereru feather all at the same spot on the track. Strong turpentine smell in the air.
