Single female located in small horizontal sheet web built between dead leaves on ground in deeply shaded region of Quercus-Pseudotsuga forest. Another individual female was found around 7 meters away, with a spherical cluster of eggs that it attempted to carry while taking cover.
An apparent absence of any pedipalps and the deeply ridged sclerotinized grooves around the lateral edges of the opithsoma are characteristic of only this species in North America.
