Opposite leaves, umbel like inflorescence
Woody bush. Opposite oval leaves. Flowers were fleshy and pink.
6 Ray florets, light purple, exerted gynoecium. The fruit was fluffy achenes.
inflorescences of 5-8, corolla tube with hairs inside.
Lemma with white hairs, awn curved (not bent); ligules relatively long.

Single spike, 3 stigmas, rhizomatous, perigynia leathery & about 4 mm long, rachilla well-developed inside perigynia, minute red dots on front of sheath.
