This is a well-known specimen of this endemic tree species along the Pinnacles Trail. It was pointed out to me by Jim & Lynne Weber (@earthgrazer). I think I've placed the pin at/near the correct switchback.
Correction: large larval spring salamander
Ventral pattern matches closely to alabamensis rather than beyeri
Only flavescens I was able to capture. A very active adult male who would not sit still for pictures

Last time I came to this small pond, I found 3 yellow mud turtles, so this is very likely a repeat sighting
