I saw two birds about the size of a hawk, both with snow white underbellies, black wings, red heads, and red tail feathers. I circled one in the above picture, but was unable to snap a closer shot.
The gate, the splay of toes, is consistent a badger. Not canine, very mustlid. No tail drag, not otter
